            Cooper Construction Company has begun site work on a 247,000-square foot warehouse in Shelby Commerce Park.   The Park is located off I-65 exit 231 on Highway 31 in a Calera, Alabama.

            According to Jay Drennen, project manager for Cooper, completion of the one story 32-foot clear height building, is expected by year's end.  The speck warehouse is a cross-dock facility being developed by Graham and Company.

            The building is the third phase of four buildings to be built in Shelby Commerce Park. The total square footage for all the buildings in Shelby Commerce Park would exceed 1,555,000 square feet.         

            Danny Lathem is Cooper Construction's superintendent on the project.

            Cooper Construction is a southeastern construction firm established by Jim Cooper in 1991. The company specializes in construction of warehousing, distribution facilities, industrial plants, automotive dealerships, general construction and tenant improvements.
