            Charles R. Wendel has been named controller of Cooper Construction Company.

            Wendel has more than 30 years accounting experience.  He obtained his B.A. in Accounting from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina.  He is a member of the 3^rd Order Franciscan Fraternity.

            Cooper Construction is a southeastern construction firm established by Jim Cooper in 1991.  The company specializes in construction of warehousing, distribution facilities, industrial plants, automotive dealerships, general construction and tenant improvements.
