            Edward Whatley has been named an assistant project manager of Cooper Construction Company.

            Whatley is a recent graduate of Auburn University ('05), where he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering.  He is the son of Opelika residents Alex and Debra Whatley.  He is a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Opelika.  He and his wife, Elizabeth Stephens Whatley, live in Homewood, Alabama.

            Cooper Construction is a southeastern construction firm established by Jim Cooper in 1991.  The company specializes in construction of warehousing, distribution facilities, industrial plants, automotive dealerships, general construction and tenant improvements.
